Accountant III

Position Objective The Accountant III will be responsible for product costing and inventory accounting. Primary Responsibilities ? Lead month-end processes that support inventory accounting, including but not limited to inventory analysis, booking of journal entries, and preparation of reconciliation of ledger accounts. ? Liaise with the Inventory Manager to investigate and analyze variances, and the accuracy of stock adjustments from cycle counts and physical inventory counts. ? Reconcile raw materials, semi-finished, work in progress and finished goods inventories to general ledger. ? Compute and document variances (material, labor and overhead) and determine capitalization in inventory and charge to COGS. ? Work with personnel to evaluate and explain variances and participate in the continuous improvement process to lower processing costs and minimize variances to standard. ? Monitors monthly Cost of Goods Sold, Gross Margins and yields. ? Serve as a resource for cost accounting analysis and planning. ? Create, maintain, and update procedures for cost accounting and inventory control. ? Assist General accounting functions of AR/AP, Fixed Assets, Month End Close when needed. ? Conduct audit of BOMs before entering the item codes into Oracle EBS. Required Education and Experience ? 4-year degree from an accredited university in Accounting or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience ? A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting and GAAP Accounting Required Qualifications ? CPA highly desired ? Good working knowledge of Oracle EBS ? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams ? Ability to manage multiple priorities, sometimes with tight deadlines
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
AccountingEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
